5.1. Methodological overview
The content of the lectures will be based on a text or manual previously recommended and adapted to the level of student knowledge.
In the seminars, students will work on topics related to the subject. Problem based learning represents an essential part of this subjet: student have to solve problems posed by the teacher improving team work.
5.2. Learning tasks
- Participatory classes (24 hours).
- Resolution of cases (13,5 hours).
- Practical workshops and thematic seminars, work presentations by students (22,5 hours)

Theoretical contents
1: Introduction
2: Clinical History and Exploration of the Oral Cavity
3: Autoimmune diseases and their implications oral level
4: Blood disorders and dental management. Patient with antiplatelet and anticoagulation disorders
5: Heart disease and clinical management
6: Endocrine system diseases. Oral manifestations and dental management
7: Immunocompromised patient: HIV and transplanted patients
8: Hepatic and kidney diseases
9: Gastrointestinal disorders and oral manifestations
10: Oncologic disease and handling processes at the clinic.
11: Neuromuscular diseases.
12: Management of the patient with mobility difficulties.
13: Interpretation of analytical results.
14: Managing Vademecum. Medical interconsultation.
TOPICS TO BE DEVELOPED IN STUDENTS GROUP WORKS:
- Related to current issues in the field of oral and systemic pathology.
